Women are emerging as the Catalysts for Change in Trust group savings in Morogoro within the Anglican Church of Tanzania.
FT UK is extending its support to OMC with the objective of catalyzing transformation in livelihoods through economic empowerment. The initiative is designed to combat poverty by facilitating access to community-owned and operated savings groups, offering training encompassing literacy, numeracy, and business skills, as well as providing mentorship in various relevant areas. The anticipated outcomes include personal, familial, and communal metamorphosis, alleviating severe poverty by reinstating human dignity and fostering resilient, self-sustaining communities.

Built on learning from the previous project cycle in Morogoro and experiences of other Five Talents’ partnership programmes, OMC journeys with communities over three years. All training is Biblically-based and participatory, delivered by community trainers who are from the regions themselves:
