In making sure that group leaders are aware of their responsibilities together with capacity building OMC through its satellite offices conducted training to group leaders. Trainings were conducted in the following dates 21 May, 2025 Dumila satellite office and 23 May, 2025 both Gairo and Mikumi offices completed the task.
The trainings were attended by one hundred and nine (109) group leaders from thirty four (34) saving groups from our four satellite offices which are Dumila, Gairo and Mikumi.
These training have positive response from the group leaders who attended and they are ready to work and make sure that saving groups become more sustainable so as to ensure that group members reach their aspects and needs through their active participation in saving groups activities.
With gratitude to God, OMC hereby informs you of its official commencement of a partnership with Kids Club Kampala UK, beginning in April 2025. KIDS CLUB KAMPALA (KCK UK), a registered charity in England and Wales (registration number 1152451), with its registered address at 148 Witton Lodge Road, Erdington, Birmingham, England, UK, this partnership has been established through the unification with The Mango Tree UK.
The partnership is expected to deepen efforts in providing educational opportunities to orphans and children living in challenging circumstances within East Africa, with a specific focus on Tanzania. May divine assistance guide our unified efforts toward the realization of our common goals.
To reach more areas, OMC has provided training to community volunteers to build their capacity and enable them to understand the policies and guidelines.
This training aimed to build the capacity of participants to understand their roles as community volunteers, the policies and structure of OMC groups, procedures for the formation and management of groups, financial record management, and the importance of financial literacy within the groups.
This training was conducted for forty-three (43) participants from all three offices, namely the Gairo office, the Dumila office, and the Mikumi office. This is an enrollment for the year 2025.
The employees participated in a staff retreat for the year 2025, which was held on March 25th to 29th, 2025, at the Hiltop Hotel located in Ruaha National Park in the Iringa region.
The objectives of this retreat were to come together as employees of OMC and the Diocese of Morogoro, Anglican Church as a whole to thank God for enabling us to achieve the plans for our 2024 goals and to ask God to continue to fight for us in our plans and goals for the year 2025.
Additionally, the employees of OMC and the Diocese had the opportunity to visit Ruaha National Park with the aim of seeing and learning through the natural attractions found within the park. The employees also had the chance to visit the Mkwawa National Museum located in Kalenga in the Iringa region to learn about the history of Chief Mkwawa and the Hehe tribe as a whole.
OMC launched a vehicle Outreach program on January 6, 2025, as an effort to optimize the efficacy of their outreach initiatives. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Bishop Godfrey H. In response to corporate social responsibility, the employees of OMC had opportunity to visit an orphanage situated in Berega on January 11, 2025, where they extended their support to infants who have lost their mothers either during childbirth or postpartum. Presently, the facility accomaodates a total of 18 children. Thanks to Five Talents UK for their support
